When Okanagan native Melanie Fahringer met California girl Irina Rachow seven years ago in San Diego at a clothing party, their friendship just clicked! With a shared passion for beautiful fashion and the retail business; the two entrepreneurs knew a joint venture was inevitable.

Enter Del Lago, a dynamic boutique in downtown Kelowna just bursting with incredible and unique clothing, fashion accessories, jewelry, shoes and specialty gift and decor items that always command a second look.

Three years later Del Lago has already captured the hearts of many locals and visitors, by the hip, casual lifestyle offerings, unique in-house designs and convenient touches like beautiful gift wrapping and special order services.

The store is visually stunning, with display vignettes created to capture the look and feel of southern California, while staying true to the lake culture of the region. Many of the lines in Del Lago are not available anywhere else in Canada and many are exclusive to the Okanagan area as well.

Del Lago considers itself a ‘sister’ store to the four successful San Diego boutiques it draws its inspiration from: Fairen Del, Sheridan Rancho Valencia, Del Lago Beverly Hills and Madison San Diego.

Fahringer and Rachow have plans to develop their own apparel brand in the near future, tailored to the chic and classy woman, but keeping comfort and quality at the forefront of all designs. The location at the Grand Hotel in Kelowna, is the first of many the dynamic duo plans to open in resort properties thru out North America
